I hate spam attacks! + some linkage and news about the SPN newsletter project  
Today, after months of getting irritating and completely incomprehensible spam comments by anons, I finally disabled commenting for everyone and enabled commenting for registered users only! I really hate doing that, but having to delete more than 15 spam comments per day really got on my nerves. This change will only be temporary though. After 2 weeks I will try enable comments for everyone again. Hopefully all those darn spam anons will have lost interest by then.

Also for all anime fans on my f-list, I found a nice site where you can watch a lot of animes online without the trouble of downloading each episode. The site is called ani-watch. Go, check it out! :)

On a different note, it would be great if you could vote in the SPN newsletter poll, vol.2 if you haven't already. So far, 11 people took the poll! I want to have a few more votes before I analyze the results.

On the same matter, I want to announce that the asylum [info]spn_newsletter was handed over to me by [info]dea_liberty on June 19th, 2008. That will spare me the effort of creating a new asylum! :)

Mmmm, ich hätte nicht gedacht, dass du die meisten Kommentare abschaltest. Andererseits hätte ich bei so vielen Spam auch die Geduld verloren.

Danke! Ein weiteres Asylum auf meiner Liste, har har.

Ich hab nur die Kommentare für alle Anons abgestellt. Nur noch registrierte Benutzer können mir vorläufig schreiben. Heute morgen hatte ich 13 Spam-Kommentare auf meinen einen Fic Rec Eintrag und das hat mir echt gereicht! Insgesamt hatte ich Spam-Kommentare auf 7 meiner Einträge, ich hatte keine Lust bei denen allen die Kommentarfunktion abzustellen. Deswegen diese vorübergehende Lösung... Anons werden hier erstmal nicht posten können. Ich wollte es ja nicht tun, wir hatten ja schonmal drüber gesprochen, aber heute hat's mir echt gereicht!

Ja schon klar, ich habe es verstanden. Schade nur, dass dann auch niemand OpenID zum Kommentieren nutzen kann. Oder wird das auch als registrierter Nutzer gewertet? Soll ich es mal mit meinem Accoutn ausprobieren?

Naja, bisher hat noch niemand mit Open ID hier kommentiert! Aber generell find ich es scheiße, dass ich gezwungen war, dieses Feature zu aktivieren... Ich hoffe, dass nach den 2 Wochen alles wieder in Ordnung ist und mich keiner mehr zuspammt!

Ich überlege gerade, warum es nur manche Einträge sind, die gespammt werden.

Liegt es vielleicht an den Tags, die du benutzt? Also viele Tags=Risiko der Spamattacke höher?

Ja, wir hatten ja schon davon gesprochen, dass ich bei meinem Spam-Eintrag die Kommentare abgestellt habe. Seitdem ist Ruhe. Wenn alle Stricke reißen, d.h. wenn es nach 2 Wochen eben nicht besser geworden ist, dann kannst du es ja noch mal einzeln versuchen und nur bei den betroffenen Beträgen das Kommentieren abstellen.

Das ist zwar immer noch nervend, aber besser als ganz auf anonyme Kommentare zu verzichten.

Da fällt mir doch gerade wieder auf, dass ich mal wieder bei der Icon-Community vorbei schauen könnte.

Ich weiß auch nicht, woran das liegt. Es sind auf jeden Fall immer die gleichen 7, die gespammt werden.

Ich werd auf jeden Fall nach den 2 Wochen nochmal testen, wie es aussieht!

Ah, hättest du nicht gerade im Chat erwähnt, was du mit "Icon-Community" meinst, hätte ich dich jetzt danach gefragt!

Na, solange es nur sieben Stück sind (und bleiben) ist es ja kein Problem, bei denen das Kommentieren abzustellen.

Bestimmt wurden die Einträge stark verlinkt.

Gut, dass du das Kommentieren erstmal vorübergehend abschaltest. Ich hatte ja auch schon öfter Mails bekommen, weil diese Spam-Kommentare in deinen Beiträgen auf einen meiner Kommentare "geantwortet" haben. Schlimm! Erst freut man sich, weil man denkt, dass man nen Comment bekommen hat und dann ist das so ne kryptische Zahlenfolge. Hoffentlich lässt das wirklich nach.

Ja genau, auf deinen Kommentar haben sie auch gespammt! Die Schweine! Aber jetzt ist erst mal Schluss damit! Ich hoffe auch, dass es dann nachlässt, wenn ich es wieder aktiviere!
